<3  HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERY ONE!  <3
Carmelita Pina from the sisters wood here with some sweet and simple  tricks for using acrylic paint on Birch wood in order to create a thoughtful Valentines Gift this Year

STEP 1: INGREDIENTS

*Acrylic Gesso (Used to seal and coat porous materials such as Birch wood)

*craftsmart acrylic paint in any color you desire to paint in

*#10 Bright brush flat bottom for optimal coverage while using Gesso, But I recommend buying a small variety pack of brushes at micheal's craft store, the softer the better

*Your choice of wooden material any shape or size

*Small container of water cup, paper towels, and a glass plate (choose one you will not use again for eating)

*Find inspiration either on the internet or something you see on T.V.but the more original the better, the more special it is!

Tip#1 Acrylic paint dries pretty quick so make sure you have you color scheme planned out, or use a small spray bottle  with water to keep your paint hydrated a bit

Step #2 Applying Gesso

Seal your desired wood piece with the acrylic gesso, for optimal results and even coverage, spray a small amount of water on gesso dries in 5-7 minutes

Step #3 Applying paint

Now that  you have all the color scheme on your glass plate start applying on the gesso ready wood piece, and paint away

Tip#2 If you want straight crisp lines for your piece don't be afraid to use painters tape (blue), or regular masking tape

Step #3 BE CREATIVE

just go for it, your valentine will love the piece because it came from you, and you made it with love and that is all that matters DO NOT BE AFRAID if its not perfect!

I really hope that these simple tips help you out in Your Valentines day Ideas! Have a great day and don't forget to check out our kickstarter project <3
